WANDA FAYE ALEXANDER

Wanda Faye Alexander, 79, of Bridgeport, AL went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 after a short illness.   She accepted the Lord at an early age and loved her Lord.  She shared her Lord and her testimony to her family, friends and many people she came in contact with.   Everyone who knew her, loved her sweet and happy personality, along with her amazing smile.

She loved her Lord and family most of all. She was a great cook, loved sewing, enjoyed taking care of her home and adored flowers, as roses being her favorite.

She is preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Ora Lee Brown; two sisters, Dorothy Lee Brown and Barbara Ann Brown Gillespie.

She is survived by her loving husband of almost 63 years, Farish Alexander; two daughters, Leila (Ronnie) Hambrick and Sheila (Lee) Moore; two sons, Jonathan Alexander and Jeremy (Amber) Alexander; thirteen (13) grandchildren, Kenneth (Tarena), Kristen (Roland), Crystal (David), Haydn (Lindsey), Holly, Zacharie, Destinee; Cayden, Jaxson, Gaubryale, Hunter, Hannah and Justin; seven (7) great-grandchildren; two (2) great-great grandchildren; along with a host of beloved family members and friends.

The family will have visitation on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

On Saturday, February 27, 2021, she will lay in state from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CT at Kimball Baptist Church in Kimball, TN.

Funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Ronnie Case and Pastor Bruce Howland officiating.

She will be laid to rest at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN at 2:30 pm following her funeral service. 

Pallbearers are Kenneth Moore, Logan Moore, Zacharie Towers, Cayden Alexander, Roland McCoy and Chris Gillespie.

Honorary Pallbearers are Hayden, Jaxson, Gaubryale and Hunter Alexander.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Gideon’s International.
