VERA INEZ ROBERSON
Vera Inez Roberson, 97, of Whitwell, Tennessee was called home on Monday, May 20, 2024. On August 20, 1926, she was born to the late James Rector and Pearl Smith Rector. She was married to the late Dennis Franklin Roberson. Vera was a member of Bible Church of God. She was a homemaker for all of her adult life. She was a very loving mother and housewife. Vera loved going to church, was faithful to God and read the Bible. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed her friends at the Senior Citizens Center and enjoyed going to yard sales. Vera always spoke highly about her mother and what a wonderful person she was.
Vera is preceded in death by her father, James Rector; mother, Pearl Smith Rector; husband, Dennis Franklin Roberson; daughters, Glenda Rednower, Ailene Cotton, Frankie Poe; brothers, Duggan Rector, Dudley Rector, Ed Rector, Marvin Rector; sisters, Lucille Roberson, Pauline Coffelt, Florence Havner, Hallie Jackson; grandson, Brandon Rednower and granddaughter, Jessica Durham.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Wilma Rheal, Norma Rednower; grandchildren, Grady Roberson, Stephanie Castle, Sarah Rheal, Amy Walker, Kim Raymer, Teresa Poe, Lisa Guy, Wayne Poe, Mike Poe, Christy Poe, Tammy Poe Bolton, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation is Wednesday, May 22, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and on Thursday, May 23, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services are on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 11:00 am CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Vernon Coffman officiating.
Vera will be laid to rest on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at Orme Cemetery in South Pittsburg, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Grady Roberson, Stephanie Castle, Dale Womack and Wayne Poe.
