TOMMY HAROLD SCOTT

As the heavenly golden gates opened on the morning of Saturday, February 25, 2023, Tommy Harold Scott entered the golden streets smiling with all he had to meet his Lord and Savior.  Tommy was 71 years old and a lifetime resident of Jasper, Tennessee.  He was born on April 15, 1951, to the late Raymond and Margie Rice Scott.  Tommy was of the Christian faith and cherished worshiping his Savior.  Tommy was retired from Coca-Cola Company where he had worked in packing and shipping.

He loved his family, spending time with friends and sharing his life history with those who crossed his path.  Tommy was a man with the kindest heart, a smile on his face at all times, and had a soul that everyone cherished.    Tommy had spent many years cleaning the streets, sidewalks and businesses in the city of Jasper to help keep their city beautiful.   No matter where you saw him working, he would yell your name, smile with the hugest smile and tell you to have a wonderful day.  Tommy’s life goal was to make a difference in someone’s life.   God made the perfect man when he placed Tommy Scott on this earth.  Tommy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Tommy is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Scott and Margie Rice Scott; brother, Millard (Sonny) Scott; sisters, Jean Crowley, Wanda Stephenson and Peggy Sneed; brothers-in-law, Don “Ducky” Carson and James Sneed.

He leaves his memories to his sisters, Betty Carson, Helen (Haskell) Green, and Brenda (Ronnie) Skiles; brother, Jerry Don Scott along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will have visitation on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home at 2:00 pm CST on Monday, February 27, 2023, with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating. 

Tommy will be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery, Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Haskell Green, Ronnie Skiles, Derek Sisk, Carson Keeler, Jimmy Sneed, Kenny Sneed and Dustin Sneed.
