STELLA LOUISE BELK
Stella Louise Belk, also known as Nan, Nana, Granny, and Mama to those who knew her best, of Jasper, Tennessee, left her Earthly home on June 26, 2026, at Parkridge Medical Center surrounded by all her loved ones. Born on April 24, 1949, to Bonnie Marie and Clarence Walker, Stella was one of eight children. Growing up in a large family, she learned early the value of perseverance, selflessness, and hard work. Rather than holding her back, those experiences became the foundation of the strong and resilient woman she would later become. In her 77 years of life, she had such a tremendous impact on everyone that walked through her front door. She was the heart of the family. Stella was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and a blessing to all that knew her. Her spunky and feisty attitude always kept those around her laughing and on their toes. Stella found joy in life’s simple moments whether it was spending time with her family, working on puzzles, watching crime and reality shows, or making special dinners for her family.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents Bonnie Marie and Clarence Walker; husband, Terry Belk; brothers, Richard, Clinton, Alton, Levon, and Eugene Walker; sister Norma Thomas; and daughter, Sandra Patterson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Tonia Hampton (Mike Layne), Tara (Jerry) Pittman; sister, Charlotte Smith; grandchildren, Kevin (Lauren) Pickett, Kayla (Joey) Mills, Morgan Hampton, Tessa Pittman (Gabe Noggle), Kendall Pittman; great grandchildren, Kaylen Gilreath, Anna Mills, Fletcher and MaKaylee Lyle, Brantley and Braxton Noggle; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members friends, and her best friend Patrica Underwood Smith.
Though her absence leaves an immeasurable void, Stella’s legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the friendships she nurtured and the mouths she fed. She will be remembered by her unwavering strength, genuine kindness, and remarkable resilience that carried her through every season of life.
