Robert Charles Murphy, 71, of Rossville, Ga., passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at home with family by his side.

Robert loved spending time with his children, grand-children and family.  He worked as a self-employed mechanic and he loved cars.  His favorite pass time was fishing or sitting in the sun and having a cold beverage.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willard John Murphy and Opal Janie White Murphy; brothers, Ricky Dale Murphy, Ronald Harry Murphy and Dwight Curtis Murphy; sister, Joyce Ann Murphy.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his sons; Audie Murphy, Nolan Murphy, Eddie Murphy and Eric (Kim) Murphy; daughter, Jaime (Ryan) Williams;  brothers, Willard “Zeke” Murphy and Hulen “Murph” Murphy; sisters, Nell Jo Murphy and Kimberly (Robert) Huckabee. Several grandchildren, adopted grandson Joseph Debord, several great-grandchildren with several nieces and nephews.  

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
