RANDALL “RANDY” EUGENE CARSON
Randall Eugene Carson, March 1963- December 2020, passed away suddenly December 18. He was a Jasper resident and graduated from Marion County High School. Randy was married to Alice D. Carson for 31 years and the couple’s love for one another was extraordinary. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Don ‘Ducky’ “Poppie” Carson; mother-in-law, Ruth S. Deakins and father-in-law, Thomas A. Deakins.
Randy is survived by Alice D. Carson, wife; Betty Scott Carson, mother; Calvin (Jocelyn) Carson, brother and best friend; sisters Sherri (Johnny) Sisk and Gay (Ron) Stamey; God-children Ashley (James) Keeler and Derek (Molly) Sisk and many other cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pallbearers include Tim Baxter, Greg Ridley, Dustin Sneed, Jimmy Sneed, Kenny Sneed and Chuck Steele.
Honorary pallbearers include Brandt Carson, Calvin Carson, Derek Sisk, John Deakins, James Keeler, Johnny Sisk, Ron Stamey and Bill Travis.
Randy always enjoyed sports and played football, baseball and wrestled when he was younger. More recently he loved watching the Tennessee Vols with his dad and Saturday football always came with his notorious grilling. The man could cook! Randy enjoyed the game of golf, the competitiveness and comradery the players enjoyed. He also relished in his weekend projects and sharing time with family and friends on the boat and at the lake.
Randy excelled at everything he tackled. Nothing but the best. Randy loved and appreciated his friends with his whole being. It was an honor to be Randy’s friend because you were invaluable to him. He was ‘one of a kind’. A special, wonderful man with a jovial personality who loved his family and brought laughter in to our lives. Randy approached life with gusto. His smile lit up a room! Randy’s generous heart was undeniable to those that came into his life because he gave his whole self to those in need, providing many hours of joy and happiness. Randy made a difference and has left his mark on his family, friends and colleagues.
Randy was employed by JJ Haines & Company, Inc. for over five years. His customers quickly became part of his family. Randy was a loyal soul and thrived on being the best. He’s won numerous sales awards for his attentiveness to detail, customer service and dedication.
Randy was passionate about football in his hometown of Jasper, Tennessee. He always had aspirations to coach football but never had the opportunity. In honor of Randy and his passion, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Jasper Middle School Football program in lieu of flowers. The gravesite service is Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN at 12:00 PM CST/1:00 PM EST with Pastor Greg Steele officiating. Masks and social distancing are required.
