PETREVA “TREVA” SMITH DAVIS

As the wind blew and the angels sang, the Lord took the precious hand of Petreva “Treva” Smith Davis to lead her to her everlasting heavenly home on Thursday, May 27, 2021.   Treva was 62 years young, a lifelong resident of Jasper, TN and had been married to Terry Davis for the past 45 years.  She was of the Presbyterian faith along with being a loyal member to Oak Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Whitwell, TN.  She was born on September 23, 1958, to the late Greely Smith and Wilma Reeves Smith.    Treva had worked by her husband’s side at Davis Bait and Tackle for numerous years.

Treva was a lady that loved and adored her Lord, family and friends.   She enjoyed the time spending with her family along with working and seeing people that crossed her path.   During her spare time, Treva enjoyed working in her flower gardens and decorating her home or homes of her loved ones.  She had a gift of making a house feel like a home.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Greely Smith and Wilma Reeves Smith.

Treva leaves her heart and beautiful memories to her husband, Terry Davis; son, Eric (Tarrah) Davis; daughter, Dustin “Dusty” (Jamie) Thomas; brother, Winfred Smith; sisters, Jean (Charles) Grider, Wanda (Frank) Keel and Angie Perkins; grandchildren, Austin (Marissa) Thomas, Carlee Davis, and Wyatt Davis; stepchildren, Debbie, Donna, Dianna, and Terry Davis, Jr., along with several nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

The family will have a visitation on Saturday, May 29, 2021, from 12:00 noon pm to 7:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

There will be a Memorial Service following the visitation at 7:00 pm CT in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Layne officiating.   Treva will be laid to rest later in a private ceremony with her family.
