Peggy E. Genter

PEGGY E. GENTER, 70 of Rossville, GA passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022.  Peggy was born on August 19, 1951, to Luther Clyde Steele and Evelyn Louise Myers Steele.  She enjoyed being a caretaker for her husband, cooking and focusing on her family.  Peggy loved her family and spending quality time with them.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great grand-children. Being “Mamaw” to them was everything. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther Clyde Steele and Evelyn Louise Myers Steele; brother, Lloyd Steele; and sister-in-law, Brenda Steele.

Peggy leaves her memories to her husband of over fifty-two years, Bueford Dowling Genter, Jr; sons, Butch (Elizabeth) Genter, JD (Kim) Genter; and Fred (Amber) Genter; brothers, Donnie Steele and Ricky Steele; sisters, Linda Bowen, Patricia Steinmann, and Lisa Ridge; sister-in-law, Patsy Steele; grandchildren, Dakota (Emili) Genter, Brodie Genter, Brandon (Hilary) Wilson, Micah Genter, Reece Genter, Brittany Slatton, Trey Hill, Logan Genter, Bradley Genter, Sully Genter, and Avery Genter; great grand-children, Brantley Genter, Maverick Slatton, and Camille Slatton; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have a Celebration of Life on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm CST (11:00 am to 2:00 pm EST) at Mission Glen Baptist Church in Rossville, GA.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, January 14, 2022, at 1:00 pm CST (2:00 pm EST) at the church, with Pastor Steve Wells officiating the service.
