NAKIA NICOLE “NIKKI” BARKSDALE
Nakia Nicole “Nikki” Barksdale, 50, of Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 9, 2025. On September 11, 1974, she was born to Gentle P. Jackson, Jr. and Sharon Kelly Hutchins in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Nikki attended First Missionary Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Alabama. She loved different kinds of music and was an outgoing and fun person. Nikki had a feisty personality and was very protective of her parents and family. She enjoyed her joy rides and being on social media, and loved spending time with her friend, Rita.
Nikki is preceded in death by her grandparents, Shirley Kelly, Gentle P. Jackson, Sr. and Betty Jean Jackson; her loyal companion, Rocky, whom she dearly loved.
Left to cherish her memories are her father, Gentle (Denise) P. Jackson,Jr.; mother, Sharon Kelly Hutchins; brothers, Christopher Paul Jackson, Bradley Alexander Jackson; Aunt, Carolyn Patrick; nieces, Charlotte Parker Jackson, Madelyn Cecilia Jackson; host of nieces, cousins and friends.
Visitation is Friday, March 14, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm CT.
Funeral services are on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 12:00 pm CT with Pastor Kenneth Simpson officiating.
Nikki will be laid to rest on Friday, March l14, 2025, at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Roger Pruitt, Robert Pruitt, Chad Patrick, Charles Coffee and Todd Jackson.
