MELVIN LLOYD SHADRICK

Melvin Lloyd Shadrick, 90, was called home to heaven on Sunday, August 21, 2022.   Lloyd was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church and was a resident of Sequatchie, Tennessee all his life.  He was married to his late wife, Barbara Jean Sutton Shadrick.  Lloyd was born to the late Milburn B. Shadrick and Emma Ethel Rogers Shadrick on February 5, 1932.  Lloyd enjoyed working in his machine shop, gardening, loved his dog Samson and spending time with his family.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his father, Milburn B. Shadrick; mother, Emma Ethel Rogers Shadrick; wife, Barbara Jean Sutton Shadrick; brothers, Milburn Shadrick, Jr., Kenneth Shadrick; sisters, Belle West and Lou Ellen Wooten.

Lloyd is survived by his foster daughter, Joyce (Carl) Hudson; sisters, Linda Hardy, Francis (Gene) Parker, Sue Myers and many nieces and nephews.

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home, LLC, Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel at Tate Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at 1:00 pm CST with Reverend Gene Parker officiating.

Burial will be at Sardis Cemetery in Victoria, Tennessee following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Shane Shadrick, Yancey Myers, Ernie Hardy, Lloyd Shadrick, Mike West and Kevin Lloyd Hudson with Honorary pallbearer Kim Hardy.
