MELODYE KAREN BONNER NUNLEY

Dear Friends and Loved Ones, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melodye Nunley, who has gone to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 11, 2023.  She lived a life full of love, laughter, and joy, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Born on March 23, 1954, in Augusta, GA, Melodye lived a life filled with passion and purpose.  She was known for her infectious smile, warm heart, and unwavering faith in Jesus.  Melodye had a gift for making everyone feel special, and she touched the lives of countless people with kindness and generosity.

Melodye was a devoted follower of Christ, and she spent her life dedicated to serving the Lord and sharing her love with those around her.  She was an inspiration to those who knew her, and she will forever be remembered as a person who brought joy to those around her.

Melodye joins her belated husband, Sammy Ed Nunley and she leaves behind her two sons, Jefferson O’Neal Nunley and James McKay Nunley as well as her daughter, Julie Nunley Adams.  She will be missed by her sister, Valerie Penny, her daughter-in-law, Kendi Cagle Nunley, and son-in-law, Jonathan “Rudy” Adams.  She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Brooklyn Nunley, Brycen and Hayes Nunley, and Braxton, Maverick and Neyland Adams, as well as countless friends and acquaintances, several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Melodye’s life and faith will be held at Tate Funeral Home.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Melodye’s life and her unwavering faith in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers during this time of celebration for the life of Melodye.  We take comfort in knowing that Melodye is now in the presence of our Lord and that she will never be forgotten.  With love and gratitude, The Family of Melodye Nunley.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, 2023, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm CST and on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at 1:00 in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Cecil Baxter officiating.

Burial will be on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the Celebration of Life.

Pallbearers are McKay Nunley, Jefferson Nunley, Jonathan Adams, Ron Nunley, Bill Kelley and Tim Adams.
