MARY ALMA ROGERS CASH

At the dawn of the morning on Friday, August 20, 2021, the Lord took the sweet hand of Mary Alma Rogers Cash, 79 years old, to lead her to the pearly gates of heaven to reunite with her loved ones in heaven that had gone before her.   Mary was a lifetime resident of Whitwell, TN and was married to the late John Early Cash.   She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Faith Baptist Church.    Mary was born on December 19, 1941, to the late, William Marvin Rogers and Katherine Pearl Legg Rogers.    She had been employed with Wal-Mart for numerous years as a Department Manager.

Mary was the bond that held her family together and she adored her husband, three sons, daughters-in-laws, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   She raised her three amazing sons to always give with their hearts, love anyone that crossed their path and to always put God, family and friends first.   That bond was shown in the last months of Mary’s life on earth.   They stayed at her bedside to take care of her as she had taken care of them many years ago.    Mary was also a blessing to the numerous friends she made during her lifetime.     Her talents of love were cooking, sewing, crafting and dancing.   She had an act of making you fall in love with her with her cheerful smile, sense of humor, laughter of love and most of all, always left you with a feeling you were her best friend.   Mary’s love of life was one she never took for granted.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Early Cash; parents, William Marvin Rogers and Katherine Pearl Legg Rogers; brother, Joseph Donald Rogers; sisters, Betty Ann Overstreet, Billie Ruth Springer and Margaret Rose Rogers.

Wonderful memories of Mary’s life will be left to her three sons, John “Possum” (Georgette) Cash; Donald (Paula) Cash and Scott (Angie) Cash; grandchildren, Paige (Josh) Mashburn, Andrew Cash, Mary Haley (Triston Adams) Cash; Kaitlynn Gibson, Hunter Gipson, Alex (Sydney) Cash, Gabrielle (Hunter) Layne, and Tres Dotson; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Baron, Tucker, Drake and Josie along with several nieces, nephews and special friends, Bobby and Linda Gudger and Jody Gattis.

The family will have visitation on Sunday, August 22, 2021, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 pm CST and Monday, August 23, 2021, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

The funeral service will be held following the funeral service in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home at 1:00 pm CST with Pastor Roger Webb officiating.

Pallbearers will be Josh Mashburn, Andrew Cash, Alex Cash, Hunter Gibson, Brian Cash and Triston Layne.

Interment will follow the funeral service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.
