MARY R. BELL

As the angels gathered to welcome Mary R. Bell to her heavenly home, the Lord took her hand and said “welcome home” on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.    Mary was 85 years old and moved in 1964 to South Pittsburg.   She was born on December 6, 1934 to George and Ada Ann Reese.   Mary was of the Methodist Faith and a member of the Holly Avenue Methodist Church in South Pittsburg, TN.  She loved singing with the church choir.

Mary was a devoted and loving mother and sister.    During her pastime in her younger years she loved to garden and plant flowers.  Her life enjoyments were cooking, fishing, genealogy and traveling. 

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ada Ann Reese and two brothers, Goldman Reese and George McKinley, Jr.; sisters, Thelma Reese, Wilma Parker, Bobby Jean Stalcup and Pauline Reese.

Those left to cherish her memories are her son, John R. Bell, Jr.; daughter, Janie (James) Wampler; sister, Billie Jane Lovin; grandchildren, John R. Bell, III, Allen Bell, Ryan Sires, Doug Wampler and Michelle Huggins; great-grandchildren, Hannah Bell, Kadin Bell, Trevin Bell, Landon Sires, Donna Wampler, Josh Murphy, Brooke Murphy, Rocky Russell, and Raelyn Russell.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
