MARTHA MARIA PITTMAN
Martha Maria Pittman, 88, of Sequatchie, Tennessee was called home by her Lord and Savior, on November 3, 2022. She was born on December 30, 1933 to the late John C. Holland and Dora Bolton Holland. She was a member of Poplar Grove Church of God in Whitwell, Tennessee. Martha loved her job where she worked as the owner of Sequatchie Food Market for 50 plus years. She loved to cook, travel, working with flowers, as well as making jelly and preserves. Martha loved her family and made everyone’s birthday special by sending cards. She loved all her family and did so many things for them.
Martha is preceded in death by her father, John C. Holland; mother, Dora Bolton Holland; son, Johnny L. Pittman; brothers, Wayne Holland, Benjamin Holland; sister, Lois Reynolds; brother-in-law, Hugh L. Gholston.
Martha leaves all her memories to her sons, David Pittman, Steve Pittman, Darrell (Debbie) Pittman; daughter, Sandra (Jimmy) Nance; sisters, Dorothy (Pat) Parker, Sadie (Ernest) Dawson, Lula Gholston; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Saturday, November 5, 2022, from 2:00 to 8:00 pm CST and on Sunday, November 6, 2022, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 3:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Jonathon Graham and Reverend Jerry Merciers officiating.
Burial will be on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Coby Willis, Michael Willis, Davy Pittman, Daniel Pittman, John Wayne Lockhart, Mason Keel. Honorary pallbearers are Don “Yo Yo” Willis and Bob Willis.
