As the Lord took his hand on Thursday, October 3, 2019, Marion Warren was called home at the age of 96 years old. Marion lived in Dunlap, Tennessee with his beloved wife, Margaret Warren. Marion served one year in the United States Navy as a 2nd Class Seaman. After receiving his honorable discharge, he began his career with starting his own business in the sheetrock and drywall company for 40 years.
Marion was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Kimball Baptist Church in Kimball, Tennessee. He enjoyed sports along with being an avid fan of The Alabama Crimson Tide. Marion also enjoyed yard work and keeping busy doing anything with his hands.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Jane Warren; brothers, Hershel Warren, Cecil Warren and William Warren, Jr.; and sisters, Ann Bowen, Flora Butler, Elvina Mann, Lena Mann, Pearl Strong, Myrle Hayes and Mary Ruth Yancey.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Margaret Warren of 69 years; daughter, Sharon Richardson (Dave); grandson, Scott Richardson (Sonia) and great grandchildren, Jack and Luke Richardson.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
The funeral service will follow in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home at 3:00 pm CDT with Pastor Bill Stafford officiating along with a military service conducted by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
Marion will be laid to rest at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.
