EDNA MARIE TAYLOR

Edna Marie Taylor, 87, of Jasper, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 24, 2022.  Marie was born on February 16, 1935, to the late Arthur Nelson and Emma Jean Billingsley Nelson.  She was a Member of Mountain View Baptist Church.  Marie was a homemaker and was married to Charles Edward “Tate” Taylor.  She enjoyed hummingbirds, sewing, loved her dog Benji, collecting dolls and spending time with her family.  Most of all she loved the Lord, and he came first in her life.

Marie is preceded in death by her father, Arthur Nelson; mother, Emma Jean Billingsley Nelson; husband Charles Edward Taylor; brother, Bobby Nelson; and granddaughter, Laquada Kilgore.

She leaves all her memories to her sons, Velton (Marilyn) Taylor, Melvin (Kim) Taylor, Wayne Taylor; daughters, Connie Carriger, Gail (Don) Holloway, Leonia Kilgore; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 26, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be on Sunday, November 27, 2022, at 12:00 Noon CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home, in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Chris Kilgore officiating.

Burial will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Jason Taylor, Michael Taylor, Scott Taylor, Robert Holloway, Derek Holloway and Tim Kilgore.
