LUCILLE ROLLINS LAMB
Lucille Rollins Lamb, of Whitwell, Tennessee, passed away at 98 years of age after a lengthy illness at home on Thursday, December 26, 2019.
Lucille was born on April 16, 1921 in Kyles, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Luther and Martha England Bass.
She graduated from Central High School and McKenzie Business School. She worked and retired from the Marion County Welfare Department in Jasper, TN. She was of the Baptist faith and member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church. Lucille’s hobbies included painting, reading, working crossword puzzles, square dancing and music along with taking drum lessons at the age of 80 years old.
Lucille is preceded in death by her husband and father of their six children, Earl Rollins and also, her second husband, Willard Lamb along with several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her children, Jim Rollins, San Angelo TX; Earl Rollins, Bridgeport, AL; Steve Rollins, Chattanooga, TN; Judy Cooper, Whitwell, TN; Janice Hickman, Signal Mountain, TN; and Fran Freeman, Jasper, TN along with 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
The family will have a private graveside service at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN with Clinton Cooksey officiating.
