Lois Thomasson Hardy

LOIS THOMASSON HARDY, 92, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 30, 2021.  Lois was born on September 19, 1929, to Oscar and Edith Thomasson of Dade County, GA.  She was the eldest of seven children.  Lois loved life and was known as a beloved mother, sister, and grandmother.  She loved her family dearly and was very close to her brothers and sisters.  She loved to travel and loved her job at Blue Cross Blue Shield from which she retired after twenty-five years.  Lois was known for her compassionate, kind, generous, and loving spirit.  She enjoyed helping others.  All who knew her were fortunate to have been part of her life.    

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Hardy; parents, Oscar and Edith Thomasson; brother, C.F. Thomasson; and sister, Aileen Durham.

Lois leaves her memories to her sons, David (Patricia) Hardy and Gary (Lisa) Hardy; brothers, Leon (Edna) Thomasson, Dewey Thomasson, and Donnie (Juanice) Thomasson; sister, Kay Sartin; sister-in-law, Cliffa Thomasson; grandchildren, Tiffany, Jonathan, and Lochlyn; great grandchildren, Cadence, Madeleine, Morgan, and Joseph; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have visitation on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm CST (12 pm to 3 pm EST) at Tate Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 2:00 pm CST (3:00 pm EST) in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Minister George Cupp officiating the service.

Pallbearers are Jonathan Hardy, Danny Keahey, Frank Thomasson, Mike Sartin, Mike Hollingsworth, and Lamar Hulvey.

Interment will be held at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.
