LINDA JOYCE BARNETT
Linda Joyce Barnett, 80, of Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 23, 2025. On July 25, 1945, she was born to the late James Lewis Jones and Doris June Liner Kilgore in Jasper, Tennessee. She was married to Clarence “C. L.” Barnett. Linda worked as a waitress for Western Sizzlin in Jasper for 29 years and attended Cumberland Mountain Church of God. She loved working on prayer quilts with her church. She loved working with the public and never met a stranger. Linda enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with her family.
Linda is preceded in death by her father, James Lewis Jones; mother, Doris June Liner Kilgore; and son, Jake Dwayne Smith.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Clarence “C. L.” Barnett; son, Jim (Donna) Smith; stepson, Lee Barnett; stepdaughter, Vicki (Paul) Layne; sister, Wanda Cooper (Carl) Mount; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; 1 niece, 1 nephew; other family members and special friends.
Visitation is Friday, August 29, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services are on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 4:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Brother Jerry Basham officiating.
Linda will be laid to rest on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Chad Smith, Garrett Smith, Dakota Smith, Dave Tudors, Corbin Merrell and Danny Hale.
