LAURA JANE CURTIS

Laura Jane Curtis, 73, of Sequatchie Tennessee went home to Heaven on September 21, 2022.  On January 6, 1949, she was born to the late George D. Jones, Jr. and Helen Elaine Jones Moses She was married to the late Franklin Dwight Curtis, Sr. and was a wonderful housewife.  Laura was of the Baptist faith, loved playing the piano. She loved her dog Roxy, spending time with her family, shopping with the girls, playing puzzle games and enjoyed watching old movies.

Laura is preceded in death by her father, George D. Jones, Jr.; mother, Helen Elaine Jones Moses; husband, Franklin Dwight Curtis, Sr.; son, Franklin Dwight Curtis, Jr.; daughter, Gidget Elaine Grant; brothers, David Wayne Jones and Clyde Anthony Moses, Jr.

She leaves her precious memories to her daughter, Laura Dickens; brother, Michael Robin Moses; sisters Jamie Moore, Glenda (Jeffrey) Bolton; special friend, Gary Freeman; grandchildren, Trista, Brandon, Craig, Franky, Tyler, Camden, Paige, four great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 26, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home, LLC in Jasper, Tennessee

Funeral service will be Monday, September 26, 2022, at 1:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home, LLC in Jasper, Tennessee with Brother Bill Ross officiating.

Burial will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens immediately following the funeral.

Pallbearers are Camden Dickens, Craig Basham, Brandon Basham, Tyler Curtis, Brad Bradford, Dustin Bradford and Ryan Bradford as Honorary Pallbearer.
