LARRY LEROY WILSON
Larry LeRoy Wilson, 71, was born March 6, 1954, to the late Alberta Brownlee Wilson and Albert Wilson of Memphis, Tennessee. He gained his wings on July 21, 2025. Larry joined the United States Army in 1973 and served until 1993. He moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2011, where he met and married Patricia Mitchell in 2013. Larry joined the local 6362 VFW Honor Awards where he served until his death. He enjoyed going through Goodwill and looking around. He loved working on computers but most of all, he was a very giving person and loved helping people. He loved his wife, Pat and his family very much.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Albert Wilson; mother, Alberta Brownlee Wilson; brother Earl Wilson; Aunt, Alma Jordan; and grandson, Shon Wilson.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Patricia Mitchell Wilson; daughters, Denise Wilson, Tomica Wilson, Niya (Vasudeva) Sadhoo, Elandria Wilson; step daughters, Frances Paige Bynum, Aniston Laray Rich; brothers, James Wilson, Roosevelt Nickelberry, Calvin Cade; sisters, Martha Cook, Shirley (Malcom) Jones, Ethel Wilkens, Gladys Baptist, Ella Roberts; 6 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
Visitation is Monday, July 28, 2025, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services are on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 1:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Reverend Scott Davis officiating.
Military Honors will be presented by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard at the Funeral Home.
Larry will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
