LARRY JOE BRACKETT

Larry Joe Brackett, 75, of Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 8, 2023.  Joe was born to the late John Brackett and Inez Camp Brackett on August 13, 1947.  He was married to his wife, Catherine Brackett for fifty-seven years and was a member of Popular Grove Church of God.  He loved the farm, riding his Kawasaki mule and horses.  Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He enjoyed gardening, watching westerns and would spend hours playing solitaire. 

Joe is preceded in death by his father, John Brackett; mother, Inez Camp Brackett; brothers, Jimmy Brackett, Robert Brackett, Carl Brackett, Johnny Brackett, Roy Brackett, Richard Brackett and sister, Glynda Spencer.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Catherine Ellis Brackett; daughters, Renee (Mike) Worley, Melissa Scissom; brother, David (Helen) Brackett; sister, Barbara (Eugene) Roach; grandchildren, Taylor (Peggy) Scissom, Tyler “Bubba” (Jennifer) Scissom, Dylan (Cassidy) Worley, Cole Worley, Michael Worley; great-grandchildren, the joy of his life, Reece Scissom, Zaylee and Sofi.

Visitation is Friday, March 10, 2023, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm and on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:00 am CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11:00 am CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Jerry Merciers and Pastor Roger Webb officiating the funeral service. Pastor Jonathon Graham will be speaking graveside.

Burial will be on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.

Pallbearers are Taylor Scissom, Bubba Scissom, Dylan Worley, Cole Worley, Michael Worley and Alex Shiver.
