Kay Stanton Obituary

KAY BAUMHOFF STANTON

Sweet Jesus Christ led Kay Baumhoff Stanton, 80, to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 18, 2021.  She was born on October 17, 1940 to the late Charles Alvin and Mildred Jenkins Baumhoff.   Kay was married to the late William L. Stanton, Sr.  Kay had lived in Cartersville, GA before moving to Signal Mountain, TN as her final earthly residence.

She was a lady that loved and adored over her lifetime her Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.   Kay was of the Methodist faith and a member of Cain’s Chapel United Methodist Church.  She had the love of singing and was a member of the adult choir and United Methodist Women’s group at her church.  Kay loved teaching first and second graders in Sunday School.  During her pastime, she enjoyed crocheting, cross stitching and any other crafts.  She was a member of the “birthday club” and cherished spending time with a wonderful group of ladies.

Kay leaves her memories to her son, William (Selena) Stanton, Jr.; daughter, Barbara (Ronald) Brown; grandchildren, Braden (Lindsay) Brown, Kayla Brown, Lauren (Brandon) Johnson, Joshua Stanton, Avery (Gwendolyn) Brown, Jennifer Stanton and Kaitlyn Stanton and years of beloved friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Leonard Stanton, Sr.; parents, Charles Alvin and Mildred Jenkins Baumhoff; and brother, Charles (Barbara) Baumhoff.
