On May 31, 2020, Judy Wells was called to her heavenly home at the age of 72, with her husband by her side.

Judy was born on August 23, 1947 in Jasper, Tennessee.  She dedicated her life to caring for her family and home.  She loved spending time with her family, playing games, fishing, cooking, and laughing.  She had a contagious laugh, and everyone loved her.

Judy was a devoted wife to her husband Jim Wells for 45 years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister.  She will be remembered for her humorous personality and ability to make everyone laugh.  She could light up a room and everyone gravitated toward her shining spirit.  Those who loved her could always depend on her to be there for them at any time.  Above all else, Judy was an amazing mother and grandmother.  Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and there was nothing they loved more than spending time with her. She will forever live on through her grandchildren who are blessed to have such wonderful memories of her. 

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, John and Earlene Thomas; sister, Sandra Kennemore.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jim Wells; children, Jamie (Lisa) Wells, Amy (Jim) Fowler, and Tonya Rearick; grandchildren, Cameron Ridenour, Jay and Riley Wells, and Hunter, Addie, and Will Fowler; brothers, Johnny, Bobby, David, and Kevin Thomas; sisters, Nancy Smith and Rita Appleton along with several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private visitation on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2020 from 1:00-1:45 pm CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.   The graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm CDT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.

Pallbearers are Jamie Wells, Bobby Thomas, David Thomas, Cameron Ridenour, Jay Wells, and Jim Fowler.
