JOHN LOWELL CLARK
John Lowell Clark gained his heavenly wings and walked through the heavenly gates on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. John was 73 years old and lived in Whitwell, TN with his wife of 50 years, Patricia Price Clark. John was born on October 19, 1947 to John and Lula Clark as the middle child of 9. John was of the Presbyterian faith and a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church, PCA of Jasper, TN where he also served as an elder.
John has served in the United States Air Force for 8 ½ years and was a Staff Sargent. After his military time, John worked several years in the local coal mines. After leaving the coal mines, he worked at the Marion Farmers Coop in Jasper, TN for 17 yrs. John also served for 35 years with the Boy Scouts of America as a Scout Master and District Commissioner. He loved his Lord and his family with all his heart. In his pastime, he enjoyed taking care of his farm animals and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John F. Clark and Lula Askins Clark.
John leaves his memories to his wife, Patricia Clark; sons, John Travis Clark and Shawn Paul Clark; brothers, Charles C. Clark, Walter Clark and Gerald Clark; sisters, Marilyn (Richard) Laws, Darlene Kirk, Joyce (Joe) Payne, Sharon (Gayle) Rearden, and Brenda Mazy, along with a host of nieces, nephews and loyal friends.
The family will have visitation on Saturday, November 14, 2020 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.
There will be a graveside service following the visitation at 2:30 pm at Griffith Cemetery in Whitwell, TN with Pastor Erik McDaniel officiating along with military honors ceremony conducted by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to be made to the Grace Presbyterian Church, PCA of 3363, Main Street, Jasper, TN or Griffith Cemetery, c/o Glen Price, Whitwell, TN.
