James "Waldo" Walters Obituary

JAMES “WALDO” ARTHUR WALTERS

At the wake of the morning, the Lord took the hand of James “Waldo” Arthur Walters, at the age of 72 years old, home on Saturday, February 15, 2020.   Waldo, as he was known by all, was from South Pittsburg, TN.  He was of the Church of God faith and attended South Pittsburg Church of God.  Waldo was self-employed with many traits along with being an amazing carpenter and as a man with a degree in “jack of all trades”.

Waldo loved his family, grandchildren and especially enjoyed watching his grandkids play football.   In his past time, he enjoyed listening to “ole country music”, watching football and drag racing.    For quality time, was enjoying get-togethers with family and friends.  As his family will tell you he enjoyed the love of chocolate and was always the “first” in line at meal time.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Walters and Willie Campbell Walters; brothers, Bead, Charlie and Hike Walters; sister, Missy Dunn and daughter-in-law, Susie Walters.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Judy Adams Walters; sons, Scottie (Rebecca) Walters and Tim (Kristy) Walters; daughter, Angie (Clay) Sisemore; brothers, Ray, Don and Junior Walters; sisters, Jayne Walters and Rose Anthony; six grandchildren, Brooke (Chandler) Goff, Elijah Sisemore, Noah Walters, Miles Walters, Zek Walters and Chandler Nance along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will have visitation on Monday, February 17, 2020 from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

The funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Tate Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 1:00 pm CST with special words from Pastor Kenneth Conway and officiated by Brother David Swanner.

Interment will be at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee.
