JAMES “PEANUT” RACKLER
James “Peanut” Rackler, 76 of Bridgeport, Alabama was called home on Tuesday, January 30, 2024. On April 13, 1947, James was born to the late Charles Rackler and Evelyn Smith Rackler. He was married to Charolotte Hurst Rackler. He worked in Manufacturing for Jacobs Manufacturing. James loved fishing, boating and gardening. Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.
James is preceded in death by his father, Charles Rackler; mother, Evelyn Smith Rackler; brothers, Bobby Rackler, Charles Rackler, Chris Rackler; sisters, Ruby Gallagher, Virginia James, Sue Gibson and grandson, Charlton Hutchenson.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Charlotte Hurst Rackler; sons, Dennis (Toni) Rackler, Tony (Sandi) Rackler, Craig Hutchenson; daughters, Karen Creek, Hazel Rackler, Christian Hurst, Morgan Hurst, Sonja Rackler; brother, Paul Rackler; sisters, Pat Daniels, Sarah Jo Hardin; fifteen grandchildren, eleven living in South Dakota, Baylon and Issac Hutchenson, Zaria; seventeen great grandchildren living in South Dakota along with several nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
Visitation is Thursday, February 1, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 pm CT and on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 Noon CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be on Friday, February 2, 2024, at 12:00 Noon CT in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home, in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Wayne Smith officiating.
James will be entombed on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Baylon Hutchenson, Issac Hutchenson, Craig Hutchenson, Michael James, Chris Conner and Roger Smith.
