James “Jim”  Leonard Harvey

James “Jim” Leonard Harvey (formerly from Jasper, TN) of Chattanooga, TN passed away on July 31, 2020 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. He was born on February 7, 1961 to Eugene and Bertie Harvey. 
 

Jim had been a supervisor at Riverbend Construction Company before he had gotten ill.   Jim was an avid sports fan who loved football, baseball and loved his Tennessee Vols.  Jim was a graduate in the 1979 Class at Marion County High School in Jasper, TN. He also had an athletic past playing every sport that Marion County High School had to offer. The only thing he loved more than sports was spending all the quality time with his children, grandchildren and for the past 5+ years spending every Thursday night hanging with his best friend, Calvin Carson.

He is preceded  in death by his parents, Eugene and Bertie Harvey and his sisters, Sue Rockwood and Martha Harvey 

He is survived by his son, Joshua (Samantha) Harvey;  daughters, Jessica (Jack) Horner and Cheyenne Harvey; sister, Dottie Harvey; grandchildren, Austin, Ollie, Eli, and Asher Harvey and Emily and Anna Horner; niece and two nephews and his lifetime friend Calvin Carson along with numerous family and friends  

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
 

Special friends will host a “Celebration of Jim Harvey’s Life” for all family and friends. The date and place will be announced later this month.
