JAMES GREGORY DANIEL

James “Greg” Gregory Daniel, 58, entered the heavenly gates on Sunday, May 16, 2021.   He was a resident of Whitwell, TN where he lived with his wife Melinda Jane Daniel.    He was born on December 28, 1962 to his parents, late Shirley Eugene Daniel and Mattie Jo Massengale Daniel.   Greg was of the Baptist faith and a member of Coppinger Cove Baptist Church in Sequatchie, TN.   He was self-employed as an automobile mechanic.   Greg was a workaholic, enjoyed yard sales and working on automobiles.   He adored and cherished his family and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his father, Shirley Eugene Daniel.

Greg leaves his memories to his wife, Melinda Jane Daniel; mother, Mattie Jo Massengale Daniel; sons, James (April) Daniel and Bradley Givens; daughter, Amy Harris; brothers, Mike Daniel and Brian (Cindy) Daniel; sister, Vickie (David) Hines; grandchildren, Haley Cooper and Colton Stephens along with several nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm CT and Wednesday, May 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm CT in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Turner officiating.

Greg will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Maplewood Cemetery in Tullahoma, TN.  Pallbearers are Bradley Givens, Willie McCurry, Harvey Haynes, Travis Willingham, Terry Cargile and Greg Rutherford.
