James G. "Gary" Guinn

JAMES G. “GARY” GUINN, 67 of South Pittsburg, TN, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.  Gary was born on October 6, 1954, to James Guinn and Betty Phillips Guinn.  He worked at Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) for thirty-three years.  Gary loved farming and operating heavy farming equipment.  He never met a stranger, was kind to every person he met and loved seeing others smile and laugh at his jokes.  He had a giving heart and loved to help others in need.  Gary loved spending time with his family for whom he loved greatly.

He is preceded in death by parents, James Guinn and Betty Phillips Guinn.

Gary leaves his memories to his sister, Teresa Guinn; Uncle J.B. Jones; and several close cousins and friends.

The family will have visitation on Friday, December 17, 2021, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 3:30 pm CST at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN with Pastor Kevin Rummage officiating the service.

Pallbearers are Jerry McCuiston, Bill Thomas, Charles Haynes, and Richard Kirk.
