James Wilton Johnson

James Wilton Johnson, 76, of Dunlap, TN., passed away Friday, July 6, 2018.

Jim was a Pastor at Henson Gap Baptist Church in Dunlap, TN. He was a Graduate of Tennessee Temple with Magna Cum Laude Honors. Jim was a Veteran of the United States Navy and Served on the Shangri-La.

He was born March 29, 1942 to the late James Hubert Johnson & Ovedia Reynolds Johnson; wife, Carlene Melton Johnson;  sister, Linda Wilkerson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children Ronnie (Julie) Johnson, Regina (Regan) McDevitt, Michael (Nancy) Johnson, Mark (Cindy) Johnson & Sherrie Wright; brothers, Kenneth (Bonnie) Johnson & Timothy Johnson ; sisters, Wilma (Richard) Scarbrough, Gail (Revis) Clary, Beth (Johnny) Howard; many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 8, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. CST.

Funeral Services will be conducted from the Tate Funeral Home Chapel Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. CST with Bro. Steve Sellers officiating. Military Honors will follow the service presented by The Sequatchie Valley Honor Guards.

Interment will follow at Varner Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family ask to please make donations to the Marion County Food Bank.
