JAMES DRENON WILLIAMS
James Drenon Williams 86, of Ooltewah, Tennessee was called home on Friday, March 28, 2025. On August 18, 1938, James was born to Opal Vaughn Lawson in Jacksonville, Alabama. He served in the United States Navy. He worked for Cherry Point as an Airplane Mechanic before his retirement. James was the best and most honest person. He loved watching westerns and playing Solitaire. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. James was a fighter through many illnesses to the end.
James is preceded in death by his father, Buddy Williams; mother, Opal Vaughn Lawson; brother, Edward Williams; and grandson, Evan Williams.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Ann L. Williams; sons, James D. Williams, Jr., Stevie Williams; daughters, Larrie Howard, Penny Howard, Debbie (James) Whitmire; grandchildren, Elizabeth Whitmire, Jerry Fitzgerald, Jr. Jacob Howard; mother of grandson, Evan Williams; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.
