JAMES WENDELL HOLDEN, JR.
With the Lord’s Hand, James Wendell Holden, Jr., 72, was guided by the angels to his heavenly home on Monday, May 16, 2022. James was a resident of South Pittsburg, TN and was married to Martha Charlene Parker Holden. He was born on February 1, 1950 to the late James Wendell Holden, II and Marye Ruth Crowe Holden.
James had been employed with TN Galvanizing working in the maintenance department and Walden Security as a security guard before retiring. He had served in the United States Navy and was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
James loved his family and spending quality time with them especially with his beloved grandchildren. He was a man that always placed God and his family first. James’s heart was to ensure his family needs were taken care of before anything else in his life. His family was his life. James was an avid fan of the South Pittsburg Pirates, he enjoyed cooking out on his smoker and spending time fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Wendell Holden, II and Marye Ruth Crowe Holden and brother, Jerry Holden.
James leaves his beautiful memories to his wife, Martha Charlene Parker Holden; sons, Allen (finance’ Michelle) Holden and Charles (Bridget) Parker; daughters, Alicia (Michael) Dawson, Nicki (Chip) Peardon, Cathy (John) Holden and Shannon Parker; sister, Martha Jo Craig; grandchildren, Josh Parker, Tabitha Parker, Chance Dawson, Deanna Parker, E.J. Cagle, Amanda Holden, Carley Peardon, Ryan Cagle, Devon Parker, Adain Peardon and Jacelyn Isaac Parker; great-grandchildren, Landon, Konnor and Addy Parker along with a host of friends.
The family will have visitation on Thursday, May 19, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held in the chapel following the visitation at 4:00 pm CST with Pastor David Marona.
