JAMES DON ADAMS

James Don Adams, 87, of Jasper, Tennessee was called home on Friday, March 14, 2025.  On March 13, 1938, James was born to the late W. Monroe Adams and Mattie Mae Rector Adams.  He was married to Betty Condra Adams before her death.  James worked for Chattanooga Paper Board for 48 years until his retirement.  He loved being outside, playing golf and camping.  James loved being a Tennessee fan.  Most of all he loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren.

James is preceded in death by his father, W. Monroe Adams; mother, Mattie Mae Rector Adams; son, Rick Adams and sister, Carol Woods.

Left to cherish his memories are his son, Randy Adams; stepdaughters, Janet Herrington, Suzanne Lawson; brother, Robert Eugene Adams; sister, Linda Joyce Ezell; granddaughter, Kathryn Adams; great grandchild, Kiayel Beasley; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation is on Monday, March 17, 2025, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, March 17, 2025, at Havron’s Chapel Cemetery at 1:00 pm CST with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.
