HARRIETT LEHR NAMANNY
Harriett Lehr Namanny, 81, of Whitwell, Tennessee went into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 12, 2023. Harriett was born to the late Harry Curry Lehr and Martha Kilgore Lehr on April 7, 1942. She was married to the late Ronald M. Namanny, Sr. Harriett was a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Whitwell, Tennessee, where she loved to sing in the choir. She was the very first female Postmaster in Whitwell, and she was the very first Ms. Whitwell.
Harriett is preceded in death by her father, Harry Curry Lehr; mother, Martha Kilgore Lehr McCurry; sons, Roger Scott Namanny, Russell Lehr Namanny and sister, Leona Simpson.
Left to cherish her memories are her son, Ronald (Ronnie) M. (Pamela) Namanny, II; sister, Della (Kenneth) Dalton; grandchildren, Dustin Namanny, Trey Namanny, III, Victoria Namanny; niece, Debbie (Butch) Wilson; nephew, Jeff (Lori) Wooden and many family members and special friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, June 15, 2023, from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm CST at the First Baptist Church in Whitwell, Tennessee.
Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church in Whitwell, Tennessee with Brother Jerry Massey officiating.
Burial is Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are the men of the First Baptist Church of Whitwell.
