HARLEY LEE MAY, JR.
Harley Lee May, Jr. was 72, born to Harley Lee May, Sr. and Mary Rollins on July 12, 1950. Rusty entered his heavenly home and joins his parents on January 27, 2023, at Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born in Jasper, Tennessee and lived in Sequatchie, Tennessee. He was the center of our family.
Those greeting Rusty in heaven Friday night along with our Heavenly Father are his mother, Mary Rollins May; Father, Harley May, Sr.; special aunt, Bonita Ridley; several other aunts, uncles and cousins also greeting Rusty.
Rusty leaves behind many on this earth who will always cherish his love, singing, guitar playing and smile. His memory will live on forever with sisters; Vicki (Ron) Nunley, Sharon McBee, and brother; Ben David (Nancy) May. Nieces and Nephews; Steve (Bear) Smith, Kelli (Scott) McCann, Ron (Shannon) Nunley, Samantha (Bill) Kelley, Brandon (Erin) May, Amanda (Sam) Hutcheson along with several great and great great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Rusty loved visiting with the special friends Elsie Shadrick, Joyce Smith, Edna Fults; he affectionately called them his Baby Hearts.
Rusty loved the simple pleasures in life we take for granted every day. He loved fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, shootsie rolls (tootsie rolls), and he loved collecting money. Rusty attended Orange Grove Center for many years where he was blessed with many happy times and friends.
Visitation is Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 4:00 to 8:00 pm CST and Wednesday at 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral Service will be on Wednesday February 1, 2023, at 1:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Burial Service will be Wednesday, February 1, 2023, following the Funeral Service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, Tennessee.
Pallbearers are Steve Smith, Ron Nunley, Bill Kelley, Brandon May, McKay Nunley and Rudy Adams. Honorary Pallbearer Blake Hutchins.
In Lieu of flowers you can make donations to Orange Grove Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee or to a charity of your choice.
