HARLEY WAYNE ALSUP

Harley Wayne Alsup, 84, of Whiteside, Tennessee was called home on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.  On July 11, 1939, he was born to the late Raymond Alsup and Gracie Lee Davis Alsup.  Harley was in the United States Navy from 1956 to 1958.  He worked for Pilgrim's Pride in Maintenance.  Harley had a great personality and was always joking around with people and family.  He was a musician, played at the Grand Ole Opry and was in the band, The Good Time Charlie’s.  Harley was a handyman and could fix anything, he had a passion for working on cars.  He loved and took care of all his family.

Harley is preceded in death by his father, Raymond Alsup; mother, Gracie Lee Davis Alsup; brothers, Ted Alsup, Johnny Lee Ballard and great granddaughter, Breawna Mullins.

Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Paul (Laura) Callis, Ricky Alsup; daughters, Phyllis Weech, Starley Alsup; brother, Bernie (Shirley) Alsup; grandchildren, Chelsea (Cody) Dawson, Kristen Hamley, Olivia Callis, Jules Callis, Huntlee Callis, Michael Callis; great grandchildren, Lydia Hamley, Callie Copeland, several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation is Friday, May 17, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are on Friday, May 17, 2024, at 4:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Jerry Pittman and Donnie Moreland officiating.
