Gilbert Lewis Ellis

GILBERT LEWIS ELLIS, 74 of Guild, TN, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021.  Gilbert was born on March 1, 1947, to Eugene Gilbert Ellis and Otis Louise Gamble.  He loved to fish, watch sports, ride motorcycles and drive fast cars.  He also loved traveling and camping.  Gilbert loved spending time with his close friend, Randall along with all of his other friends at Sullivan’s.  More than anything he loved his family and friends especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Gilbert Ellis and Otis Louise Gamble.

Gilbert leaves his memories to his wife of fifty-four years, Karen Knight Ellis; daughters, Stephanie (Greg) Hutchins and Kristy (Freddy) Blansett; sisters, Missy (Howard) Wilson, Kathy Smith, and Alice (Victor) Sacks; grandchildren, Brandon Hutchins and Olivia Blansett; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will have visitation on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at 2:15 pm CST at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens with speaker, Clinton Tate.

Pallbearers will be David Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Marcus Sacks, Steve Tate, Jamie Rapier, and Mike Winnie.  Honorary Pallbearers will be Randall Sullivan and Jackie Bailey.

Interment will be held at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.
