GERALDINE KING

At the age of 89, the angels guided Geraldine King of South Pittsburg, TN to her forever heavenly home on Monday, August 30, 2021.    Geraldine was married to the late Claude Houston Coffman and John King, Jr.  She was born on April 26, 1932 to the late Jessie Lee Havner and Florence Rector Havner.     Geraldine loved being a homemaker for her husband, children and grandchildren.   Her treasured times were being with her family and friends along cooking, reading her Bible and listening to gospel music.  Geraldine also enjoyed playing bingo and traveling.  Geraldine is of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Bible Church of God in South Pittsburg, TN. 

She is preceded in death by her husbands, Claude Houston Coffman and John King, Jr.; parents, Jessie Lee Havner and Florence Rector Havner; daughters, Imogene Coffman and Mildred Ann Coffman Hurst; brothers, Harvey Havner, Billy Cecil Havner and Billy Joe Havner; sisters, Edna Mae King and Virgie Louise King; granddaughter, Donna Coffman Sanders; and grandson; Leon Potter, Jr.

Geraldine leaves her memories to her sons, Vernon (Connie) Coffman, Claude Houston (Brenda) Coffman, Jr., Tony Ray (Kim) Coffman and Paul David (Christina) Coffman; daughters, Vickie (Troy) Moore, Earldine (Charles) Dixon and Teresa (Dave) Spencer; brother, J.C. (Myra) Havner; sister, Betty Joyce Adams; twenty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and years of friends.

WITH THIS BEING A PUBLIC VISITATION AND FUNERAL SERVICE, MASK WILL BE MANDATORY PER COVID REGULATIONS WHETHER YOU HAVE UNDERLYING ISSUES OR NOT.   

The family will have visitation on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm CST and Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.

Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home following the visitation at 11:00 am CST with Pastor John Mays and Pastor David Mays officiating.  Pallbearers will be Mark Deering, Ryan Wells, Brian Wells, Aaron Parrish, Tony Blackwell and Tyler Cody Coffman.  Honorary pallbearers will be Mitchell Crawford and Jerry Deering.

Interment will be held at Beene-Raulston Cemetery in South Pittsburg, TN following the funeral service.
