GEORGANNA W. WALLIN

Georganna W. Wallin, 81, of South Pittsburg was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.  On June 7, 1944, she was born to the late William F. Hughes and Docie Ann Matthews Hughes in Cherokee, Alabama.  Georganna was a member of Midway Baptist Church and worked as a Detention Officer for Dade County Sheriff’s Department before she retired.  She was a galavanter, loving to travel to the beach and the mountains.  Georganna loved cooking and loved to eat.  She had a heart of gold, was a sweetheart, and the world’s best friend.  Above everything, Georganna loved her family very much.

Georganna is preceded in death by her father, William F. Hughes; mother, Docie Ann Matthews Hughes; son, Robert Dixon; and brother, Glen Morris; and sister, Silvia Whitaker.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, Ricky Wallin, Darrell Wallin; daughters, Elesha Wallin, Tammy Mason, Renee Wellborn, Tammy Hayes; brother, Johnny (Donna) Hughes; sisters, Kathy (Jimmy) Long, Judy Thompson; 12 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other family members and special friends.

Visitation is Friday, July 25, 2025, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services are on Friday, July 25, 2025, at 2:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Jim Richardson officiating.

Pallbearers are Tom Cat, Kevin Thompson, Jerral Thompson, Dillon Wallin, Darrell Wallin and Ricky Wallin.

Georganna will be laid to rest on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
