GARY G. “SPROUT” JOHNSON

Gary G. “Sprout” Johnson, 63, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee was called home on Sunday, November 10, 2024.  On February 4, 1961, Gary was born to the late Carl Mack Johnson and Polly Cagle Johnson.  He enjoyed music, Tom Petty and all kinds of rock and roll.  Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Gary is preceded in death by his father, Carl Mack Johnson; grandparents, Marylou & James Johnson; grandparent, Edith Payne; brother, Jimmy Godsby; sister, Linda Sue Godsby and sister-in-law, Merrie Johnson.

Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Polly Cagle Johnson; brothers, Terry Mack Johnson, George Ronnie Johnson, Carl David Johnson, Delbert Earl Johnson, Michael Anthony Godsby; sisters, Katherine (David) Grider, Peggy (Michael) James; stepfather, James “Jim” F. Godsby; several nieces, nephews, several great nieces and nephews, other family members and special friends.

There will be a graveside service on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 1:00 pm CT at Harris Cemetery in Bryant, Alabama with Pastor Ronnie Case and Pastor Jim Richardson officiating.

Pallbearers are Zachary Fitz-Gerald, Mack Johnson, Josh Cannon, Jake Hollis, Derreck Worley and David Grider.
