GARY SHAWN KOUNS

Gary Shawn Kouns, 52, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, was called home on Sunday, September 3, 2023.  He was born on June 27, 1971, to Gary Coffelt and Judy Kouns Coffelt.  He was married to Jennifer Long Kouns.   He was self-employed and worked in the field of Construction.  Shawn was a very kind person whom people were drawn too.  He was a free spirit and could always make you laugh.  Shawn was very ambitious and also a great father, if you met him, you most likely would never forget him.  He always left a great impression on people.  Shawn loved his family very much.

Shawn is preceded in death by his father, Gary Coffelt; mother, Judy Kouns Coffelt and brother, Jacob Coffelt.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jennifer Kouns; sons, James “Tyler” Kouns, Nick Kouns; brother, Chris Coffelt, special friend, Pete Rector along with many other family members and special friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
