FREIDA ANN JONES

As the angels sang, God walked hand in hand to the heavenly gates with Freida Ann Jones on the morning of Saturday, October 24, 2020.  Freida was 76 years old and a lifetime resident of Jasper, TN.   Before retiring, she was employed with South Pittsburg Knitting Mill.   Freida was born on July 5, 1944 to William and Ethel Moore.    Freida was married to the love of her life David Jones for 53 years before his passing.  She was of the Church of Christ faith and member of South Pittsburg Church of Christ.

Freida loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She never met a stranger and enjoyed making them feel as if they were her best friend and loved children. In her pastime, she loved to sit on her front porch to swing and gaze at God’s beautiful creations.

Freida is preceded in death by her husband, David Jones, parents, William Robert Moore and Ethel Tant Moore; and brother, Robert Moore.

Those left to cherish her memories are her sons, James (Lucy) Jones and Craig (Debbie) Jones; daughters, Pamela Jones (William Vaughn)and Angela (Rickey) Payne; brothers, Charles (Donna) Moore, Alvin Moore and Troy (Vickie) Moore; sisters, Josephine Stewart, Linda Perry and Natalie (Joe) Allen; grandchildren, Drew Jones, Brittany (Jake) Smith, Samantha (Gary) Broome, Calynn Jones, Olivia Hudson, Tyler (Jade) Phillips, Megan (Clay) McHone, Nick Jones, Brailee Mitchell, Katie, Jake and Josh Wilson; great-grandchildren, Bentley Jones, Christopher and Emersyn Broome, Emma, Tucker and Heidi Smith along with several nieces and nephews and devoted friends.

A private visitation will be held with family only.

There will be a public graveside service on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 3:00 pm CT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN with Pastor Mike Graham officiating.   Pallbearers are Josh Campbell, Keith Hudson, Jake Wilson, Josh Wilson, Jake Smith and William Vaughn.
