Fannie Sue Gibson, 70 years of age, went home on Sunday, January 26, 2020. Fannie was a resident of Bridgeport, AL along with being of the Baptist faith.
She had a career before retiring with Sewanee Forest Industries as a laborer. Fannie loved being a mother, adored her grandchildren, enjoying singing and being outside with God’s nature.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Gibson; parents, William and Evelyn Smith Rackler; sons, Spurgeon Gibson and Jimmy Gibson; brothers, Charles Rackler, Bobby Rackler, Eddie Rackler and Melvin Rackler; sisters, Ruby Gouger and Virginia Mahathy.
The loved ones left behind to cherish Fannie’s memories are her son, James Gibson (Faith Clarady); daughter, Tina Gibson (Robert McLean); brothers, James Rackler, Paul Rackler and Chris Rackler; sisters, Patricia Rackler McDonald and Sarah Hardin along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will have visitations on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm CST; Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm CST and Thursday, January 30, 2020 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm CST following the visitation in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Preacher Danny Rader officiating.
Ms. Fannie will be laid to rest at Layne’s Chapel Cemetery in Whitwell, TN following the funeral service.
