EDWINA “WINNA” CAROL LAWS WAMPLER
With her family by her side, the Lord took the sweet hand of Edwina “Winna” Carol Laws Wampler, 59, to guide her to her everlasting home on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Winna was a resident of Jasper, TN. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She dedicated her life to raising her children, grandchildren and any other children that crossed her path. Winna was born on November 30, 1962, to her parents, Edward Laws and Helen Hughes. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of the McKendree United Methodist Church in Jasper, TN.
Winna enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren and friends. She was a prominent life-member of The Tennessee Jaycees and The Greater Jasper Jaycees. Winna had served as past president of The Greater Jasper Jaycees and other offices of the local chapter. She was a two-year Commander of the TN Jaycees Volunteer Corp and a Two Star General in the Old Hickory Brigade of The Tennessee Jaycees. Winna also had a passion for horseback riding, music and all animals.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Donna Laws and grandson, Damion Pickett.
Winna leaves her memories to her husband, Chip Wampler; parents, Edward Laws and Helen Hughes; sons, Johnny Wampler and C.J. (Caitlin) Wampler; daughters, Angela (J.J.) Walker and Danielle Wampler; grandchildren, Donovan, Trey, Brayden, Hannah, Remi, J.B. and Mackenzie; nieces, Amanda Laws, Autumn Laws, and Nikki (Cecil) Paris; nephew, Sean Wampler; great-nieces, Ava, Savannah and Brylee and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wes and Robin Wampler.
The family will have visitation on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 4:00 pm and 8:00 pm CST and Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm CST.
Funeral service will follow the visitation on Saturday, March 5th at 2:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN with Reverend Joseph Manis, Sr. officiating.
Honorary Pallbearers are the "Tennessee Jaycees".
Winna will be laid to rest at a later date in a private ceremony with her family.
