DWIGHT TIMOTHY SMITH
Dwight Timothy Smith, age 58, of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, was called home on November 30, 2025. Born on May 20, 1967, he was the beloved son of William Ottis Smith and Glenda Green Smith. Dwight was united in marriage to Joyce Denise Daniels, with whom he shared many cherished years until her passing. A man of simple joys and deep devotion, Dwight found happiness in fishing, cheering for Tennessee and Marion County football, and listening to the timeless music of Elvis Presley. He treasured time spent with his family, whether gathered around a table with coffee in hand or working together on cars. His warmth, humor, and love for those closest to him will be remembered always. He was involved with the Rescue Squad years ago. Dwight was known for loving his hair. Dwight’s life was a testament to the value of family, tradition, and the everyday pleasures that bring people together. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Dwight is preceded in death by his father, William Smith; mother, Glenda Green Smith; wife, Joyce Denise Smith; sister, Diane Foster; and sisters-in-law, Peggy Smith, Brenda Smith.
Left to cherish his memories are his son, Brandon Webb; step sons, Tim (Jessica) Cash, Mike (Cassie Nicole) Cash; daughters, Sissy Smith, Ashley (Jay) Smith; brothers, Jerry (Georgia) Smith, Billy Ray Smith, Tommy (Darlene) Smith, James Smith, Charlie Smith, Scottie Smith; sisters, Darlene Smith, Odell Smith; grandchildren, Gracie June “Addi”, Lailei Rain, Jaylei, Kaylen, Isaiah, Tucker, Jesse, Chloe, Dallas, Kendelyn, Halen, Krisalyn, Lee, Caitlin; several nieces, nephews other family members and friends.
The family will hold visitation on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to Marion County High School Band, attention Band Director Steven Burdick, in honor of Gracie Cash.
