DORRIS I. CHAPMAN
Dorris I. Chapman, 74 of Jasper, Tennessee was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 24, 2023. She was born to the late Emuil McNabb and Ruth Sexton McNabb on July 21, 1948. She was married to Arlen L. Chapman. Dorris was a lifelong member of Kelly’s Ferry Church of God. She had been a lifelong resident of Marion County, Tennessee. She loved her church and family very much.
Dorris is preceded in death by her father, Emuil McNabb; mother, Ruth Sexton McNabb; son, Vern Chapman; brother, Boyd McNabb; sisters, Shirley V. Brackett, Imogene Fox and grandson, Shane Chapman.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Arlen L. Chapman; sons, Gregory B. (Sabrina) Chapman, Michael A. (Starlana) Chapman, brother-in-law, James Fox; sister, Gay McDaniel, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a very special friend, Mike Burrell.
Visitation is on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm CST (5:00 to 9:00 ET) and on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST (12:00 to 2:00 pm ET) at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
Funeral services are Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at 1:00 pm CST (2:00 pm ET) in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee with Pastor Mike Williams officiating.
Burial is Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at Lakewood Memory Gardens West Cemetery, Chattanooga, Tennessee immediately following the funeral service.
Pallbearers are Gregory B. Chapman, Michael A. Chapman, James B. Fox, Jr., Jeremy Fox, Joshua Fox and John Sewell with honorary pallbearers, Jeff Fox and Mike Burrell.
