DOROTHY CURVIN

Dorothy “Granny” Curvin of Whitwell, TN, was called Home to the beautiful heavens on Wednesday, November 21, 2018.  

Dorothy was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and a friend to all that came into her life.   She loved being at home for the last 30 years taking care of her family.

“Granny” was preceded in death by her father, Monroe Nunley and mother, Mae Keith, along with her husband McKinley “Buddy” Curvin; son, Landon Curvin; two daughters, Patty Curvin Layne; Ollie Mae Curvin Frizzell; seven brothers; Jim, Roy, Claude, Frank, Hoyt, Tommy and Howard Nunley; two sisters; Gladys Terry and Pearl Gravitt.

Those left to cherish her memories are her two sons; Randall Curvin and Herman (Patsy) Curvin; two daughters Jean Acuff (John) and Cindy Cranmore.  She has seven grandchildren to carry on her legacy which are Debbie Chance, Judy Hughes, Jim Layne, Tanya Curvin Moore, April Vaughn Lofty, Derek Frizzell, Coby Curvin along with 8 great grandchildren and 3 great great children.

Visitation will be held at Tate Funeral Home on Friday, November 23rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00pm CDT and Saturday, November 24th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm CDT.

The funeral services will be held in Tate Funeral Home Chapel on, Sunday, November 25th at 2:00 pm CDT with Pastor Danny Chance and Pastor Kyle Floyd officiating.  

Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery in Whitwell, TN.
