DONNA JEAN (TEDDY) DENNIS
The angels took the hand of Donna Jean Dennis (Teddy) 62 years old, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, and guided her to her heavenly home. Donna was born on December 24, 1958, to the late James Henry Chubb and Francis Louise Hale. She was married to Nicholas Paige Ladd and a lifetime resident of Guild, TN. Donna was previously employed by Another Chance Recovery where she worked as a substance abuse counselor. She was a devoted member of Victory Life Ministries.
Donna loved The Lord, her family and especially her grandchildren. She was kind, loving, fiery, and enjoyed helping others. She always believed there was good in everyone. Her love for life was extraordinary. Donna enjoyed collecting purses and loved her plants.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Henry Chubb and Francis Louise Hale; brothers, Harry (Tina) Johnson and Billy (Lisa) Johnson; and sister, Sherry Johnson.
Donna leaves fond years of memories to her husband, Nicholas Paige Ladd; son, Rickey (Nicole) Johnson; daughters, Veronica Peterson,(Tommy), and Tesa Bailey; brother, Robert (Doris) Johnson; sisters, Bonita (Charles) Collins, Patricia (Will) Suber, Marsha (Michael) Greer, Jean Davis, Flora Pickett, Alice Foster and Charlotte Walker; six grandchildren, Tyree Morris, Koby McKeldin, Maya Peterson, Terence, Tevin and Tre’ Bailey; special friend, Sylvia Bowles; God-Daughter, Taylor Reynolds, God-Son, Chuck Toney along with several nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
The family will have visitation on Thursday, July 8, 2021, from 11:00am to 12:00pm CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, TN.
The “Celebration of Life” will be held following visitation at 12:00 noon CT in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Pastor Bob Johnson officiating.
Donna will be laid to rest following the service at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, TN. Pallbearers will be Michael Buchanan, Michael Hale, Isaiah Rogers, Chuck Toney, Jermaine Scott and Chemar Burnette.
