Deolvia (Hunnicutt) Reeves

DEOLVIA REEVES

Deolvia Reeves, 90, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, October 24, 2022.  She was a resident of South Pittsburg, Tennessee and a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church.  On August 26, 1932, she was born to the late James Hunnicutt and Betha Smith Hunnicutt.  Deolvia loved sewing, embroidery, cooking, canning vegetables from the garden, spending time with her family and doing things with them.  She loved going to church and loved her church family very much.

Deolvia is preceded in death by her father, James Hunnicutt; mother, Betha Smith Hunnicutt; husband, William Vernon Reeves; son, Jere R. Reeves; daughter, Vivian Dykes; and brother, James Hunnicutt.

She leaves all her precious memories to her son, Mickey (Susie) Reeves; grandchildren, Michael Reeves, Michelle (Edgar) Harriod, Melanie Meeks, Ragan (Cristal) Dykes, Brittani (Kyle) Medina, Amber Reeves, C. J. Reeves; seven great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, and on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm CST at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.

Funeral services will be on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 1:00 pm CST in the Chapel of Tate Funeral Home with Pastor Marvin McClendon officiating.

Pallbearers are Jerry Crosslin, Lance Brown, Donnie Green, Danny Reed and David Smith and Edgar Harriod.

Burial will be immediately following the service on Friday, October 28, 2022, at New Hope Cemetery in South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
